Is the curriculum aligned to the Common Core (and/or SBAC, PAARC)?

Like the Common Core, NROC Developmental English strives to ensure that all students have the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in college, career, and life.

While the Common Core achieves these goals over a 13-year timeframe (K-12th grades), NROC’s Developmental English curriculum offers an accelerated path for students to review and prepare for college-level study by compressing and integrating reading, writing, vocabulary building, grammar, punctuation, and usage skills.

Most of the NROC curriculum is correlated to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for grades 11-12, although the speaking strand of CCSS will need to be handled in a synchronous classroom.
