EdReady Version: Homepage

 

If you have permission to edit your EdReady site's home page, you will have the "Edit Homepage" tab on your Settings screen.

 

Clicking the Homepage tab will take you to this screen:

Here you can click on any of the Edit buttons to edit that section of the homepage that your users will see:

1. Editing the Header Logo:

Hover over the (?) in the top banner to find details about the Logo that displays in the banner throughout EdReady (to both students and administrators).

Any image file you want to upload needs to meet the following specifications:
-Maximum 58 px tall x 606 px wide.
- Recommended format is transparent .png

Click the Edit button to edit the image file.
After clicking, the window shown here will open.

Click the Choose File button to browse & find the file you want to upload.

After you have identified the image file you want, click the Save button. (If you change your mind & no longer want to update this logo, click the Cancel button.)

   
 2. Editing the Main Headline
Hover over the (?) next to the purple headline text to get details on this field: this headline can be a maximum of 42 characters long.

Click the Edit button to edit the main headline.
  A textbox will open where you can directly edit the main headline.

When you’re finished, click the Save and close link to save your work.
   
3. Editing the Intro Text:
   Hover over the (?) next to the intro text (under the purple main headline) to get details on this field: this headline can be a maximum of 200 characters long.

Click the Edit button to edit the Intro Text.

  A textbox will open where you can directly edit the intro text.

When you’re finished, click the Save and close link to save your work.
   
 4. Edit the “Ed” Image
Hover over the (?) near the “EdReady” image on the right-hand side to get some general information about editing this picture.

Click the Edit button to edit the selected image.

A pop-up will open which shows the four available images for selection. Select the radio button to the left of the image you would like. After you have identified the image you want, click the Save button. (If you change your mind & no longer want to make a change, click the Cancel button.)

If you want to use your own image instead of one of the pre-loaded choices, click the Upload custom image link. After you select your image, click the Upload selected file button.

Your custom image can have a maximum size of 503 pixels wide by 403 pixels tall. Allowed file formats are .jpg,.png,.gif,.svg

   
 5. Editing the Additional Information in the footer: 
Hover over the (?) next to the additional information in the footer (which has a light gray background) to get details on this field. This field accepts html including links, and images and has no character limits.

Click the Edit button to edit the additional information text.
A textbox will open where you can directly edit the additional information.

When you’re finished, click the Save and close link to save your work.

Note that this textbox will display the raw text/ html you enter. You won’t see the final view of how it will display to users until you save and close the textbox.
   
6. You can also click the Click to go back link to return to the rest of your Admin pages

 

We recommend that you work up the html you plan to put into this area on your word processing program or an html editor, then paste the resulting html here.

Note that any changes you make to your Homepage will be implemented immediately to your end users.

When you’re done making edits to the Homepage, click the Click to go back link in the blue header bar to return to the rest of your admin pages
