Service Pack. When a software package is updated with new security features or bug fixes, the package that must be downloaded and installed to bring the software up to the new standard is often labeled as a "service pack" in addition to a version number. The Blackboard LMS is a good example of this. At the time of this writing, Blackboard is at v9.1 (version) and SP6 (service pack 6). The service pack you have installed can affect how your LMS interacts with other resources, such as NROC courses.
