Some of the primary differences between the “open textbook” PDF files and the HTML “texts” are:
HTML texts - include interactive features
- organized by individual topic
- include pop-up glossary terms
- include show/hide problems
- includes manipulatives
Open textbook PDFs - static, no interaction
- organized by unit
- include a Table of Contents at the beginning
- include objective identification throughout the content
- includes a ‘unit recap’ and glossary at the end of each unit
- the show/hide problems are identified as ‘self check’ with the answers at the end of each topic
